As the Minister of State for Agriculture, Cooperation, Food and Civil Supplies, Social Justice, Marathi Language, Waqf, and other departments in the Maharashtra Maha Vikas Aghadi government, planning and implementing beneficial decisions for the people of the state.
- Through the Food and Civil Supply Department, he ensured the distribution of essential food supplies to needy families across the state.
- Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, he conducted statewide tours to ensure uninterrupted food supply.
- Taking note of the issues faced by fair price shopkeepers and resolving them promptly.
- By touring across the state, understanding the difficulties of the poor, resolving their issues, and taking initiative for the effective implementation of various welfare schemes through an active campaign.
- A detailed report on the rehabilitation of flood-affected people in Sangli district and the measures to be taken to avoid future flood situations was prepared and submitted to the then Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray.
- While serving as the Minister of State for Agriculture in the Mahavikas Aghadi government, a well-planned action plan was implemented to provide full support to flood victims through the government.
- To bring modern technology to farmers' fields, the "Krishi Sanjeevani" campaign was launched in Maharashtra. As the Minister of State for Agriculture, he led this campaign across various fronts in the state.
- Various welfare schemes were implemented for common citizens, farmers, workers, youth, and women.
- As the State Minister for Agriculture, during the COVID period, important actions were taken to provide farmers with fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides, protect their crops, ensure their agricultural produce reached the market during the lockdown, quickly assess crop damage due to heavy rainfall and floods, provide compensation, facilitate loan waivers, help farmers access various agricultural development schemes, and provide financial assistance to farmers.
- Against the farm laws imposed unilaterally by the central BJP government, awareness was raised and a strong fight was fought alongside the farmers for their rights and interests.
- As the Agriculture Minister, solutions were provided to the farmers' problems, ensuring justice for them. Agricultural research was promoted through agricultural universities.
- As the Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection, various welfare schemes were implemented. The ambitious 'Shiv Bhojan Thali' scheme, which provides affordable meals to the poor and needy, was launched across Maharashtra. During crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, this scheme provided great support to the underprivileged. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government achieved its goal of serving over one crore free or subsidized meals. Through this department, efforts were made to uphold the Congress party's tradition of being at the forefront in helping the poor.
