According to the constituency delimitation order of 2008, the Palus-Kadegaon Assembly Constituency includes the Palus and Kadegaon talukas from the Sangli district. This constituency is part of the Sangli Lok Sabha constituency. The Palus-Kadegaon constituency is an important one in Maharashtra. The primary occupation of the people in this constituency is farming, and most of them depend on agriculture for their livelihood. Their lives are closely connected to rural culture. Key issues in this region include agriculture, education, health, employment, transportation, and infrastructure development. The late Dr. Patangrao Kadam Sahib implemented various development schemes for the welfare of the working class, farmers, marginalized communities, and the general public in the Palus-Kadegaon constituency.

- In the early stages, awareness campaigns at the village, taluka, and district levels.
- Active participation in planning and implementing preventive measures in the constituency, as well as in Western Maharashtra and rural areas.
- Ensuring the abundant availability of essential items, grains, and medicine stocks. Providing free supplies to many underprivileged groups, including the poor and laborers.
- Door-to-door awareness campaign in the constituency through health ambassadors to prevent COVID-19 infection.
- While the COVID-19 infection was spreading globally and across the country, several measures were taken for health safety.
- A free distribution of soap, masks, and sanitizers to as many as 60,000 families.
- Through my sugar factory, Dr. Patangrao Kadam Sonhira Cooperative Sugar Factory, sanitizer production and distribution were carried out.
- Creation of COVID centers, isolation centers, etc., in the constituency and rural areas of Western Maharashtra.
- Free distribution of health services, essential items, food grains, and meals to the citizens in all these centers.
